Hi all,
Welcome to our fundraising site! Meet us all, (from left:) Bob, Sara, Ania, Naomi and Martin.

As you may know, Africa is a country victim to AIDS. This results in lower life expectancy, and many children orphaned. Our aim is to go out and look after the orphans and do anything else we can in the villages and schools.

Bob and Ania are the first team to go out, leaving on the 1st July for a week. They will be working in the orphanage for a week, and plan to treat the children to a day trip.

We, (Sara, Naomi and Martin) are planning a trip out to Namibia in August, and it would be absolutely brill to have your support!

We will go for three weeks to work in the orphanages with the children there, and to work with the people in the villages to do whatever we can help with that needs doing.

Ok, here’s what we want from you. We would like a bit of support in helping us to get out to Namibia… but anything else will go direct to helping the people out there. We plan to take them on an exciting day trip to the Fish River Canyon as they do not get to leave the orphanage much. We would also love to help them with a minibus/transport out there, and food and maybe footballs for the children. (Any other ideas would be appreciated).

Many thanks from us all to everyone who helped and came along to the fundraising event we held on the 24th June. We managed to raise 509 pounds 63p! The event included washing cars and selling cakes (with a free drink!), bric a brac, and face painting.
